Say Hi to Gideon and Julianne, our Rainmakers!

Meet Gideon Sim and Julianne Ng, our LittleLives Rainmakers – they’re a little less weatherman/woman, and more of our awesome Business Development Executives!

They’re hear to lend an ear and counsel to our current and potential partners, and definitely ready to welcome you onboard the LittleLives family!

both-1

What did you do before joining LittleLives?

G: I was in the corporate gift industry as an account manager.

J: I used to work in events, as well as hotel and resort sales prior to LittleLives.

Why did you join LittleLives? And more importantly, why did you stay in LittleLives?

G: This is a role and product I can 100% relate to, as I am a parent myself and my daughter's school uses LittleLives too!  As a parent, I LOVE how I can view my daughter’s check-in and check-out photos – it makes me feel like I’m taking a peek into her time at school – and also receive updates of activities. I am definitely excited and happy to connect schools, parents and kids and extend them the same experience I have with LittleLives.

J: I also use LittleLives as a parent and I love how user-friendly it is, and how it helps me communicate with my the school/teachers. The system is clearly able to help schools improve their operations and help teachers in their work, and I like being able to make a difference in a small way, as part of my job.

How would you describe your role as rainmaker?

G: Literally ''making it rain''! The heavier it pours, the better ;) Plan, strategise, expand.

J: Con artist.. Just kidding. Professional listener and convincer.

What's a typical day at work like for you?

G: I help schedule and host meetings and speak to clients over the phone. I very much prefer calls to emails or text – I feel I can establish a better connection this way. Of course not forgetting campaign planning and brainstorming.

J: I hold meetings with potential customers, identify and connect with reseller partners in new markets. Not forgetting our lovely current partners of course, I have chats with them to explore ways to better support them. Lastly, copious amounts of caffeine.

What was your most fun moment at LittleLives?

Doing the LittleLives cheer for the very first time (virtually)

Are there any weird / challenging moments at work?

Keeping a straight face while talking about LittlePoop, our Health Tracking feature :”)

Share your favorite quote / mantra and why it means so much to you!

G: 'Do more of what makes you happy'. Be happy, be in the present and be thankful when tomorrow comes :)

J: ‘Be Curious, not judgemental'. This applies to almost everything, from work to relationships, to life experiences. Being curious and not judgemental helps one (1) to understand and embrace each other's differences and perspectives, (2) dive into new experiences, (3) in lifelong learning.
